NGRAIN BRANDING
Unlike most 3D applications, this software company’s technology uses voxels (think of a
pixel with three dimensions) instead of pixels and polygons to represent objects. Voxels, when put together, can create fully-functioning virtual models of complex equipment like engines.
Working for
the good folks at WOW! Branding,
we created the name NGRAIN for the organization. Why NGRAIN? Because it alludes to the voxel’s
key advantage
over polygonal-based models: it
can have any number of, or “n”, attributes for
better real-world functionality. NGRAIN sounds like “engrain”, a key benefit for its largest market of training/education software. And
it was cool and original, before Nokia’s NGAGE
and the rest jumped firmly on the bandwagon. Bastard guys. |
