| A public entity without a public face | ||||||||||||||
BRITISH COLUMBIA COUNCIL ON ADMISSIONS BCCAT is the independent governmental agency that ensures students can transfer courses from college A to university B—and it does a fantastic job (BC is a model around the world for student mobility in higher education). The rub was not enough people knew about it or its services. As the Director of Strategy at Kaldor, I lead Kaldor’s brand audit team and discovered that while BCCAT was a great success on the institutional side, it really needed to put a greater emphasis on its public persona. Recommendations included a gradual consolidation of its education information websites to focus on the BCCAT brand, and gradually transforming BCCAT into the place to go for information on post-secondary education in BC. |
